THE STORY

This old terracotta olive jar once had a practical place in the household, storing provisions for the kitchen. More recently, an artisan gave it a new life with textured brown paint. The hand painted patina across its generous body keep the finish from feeling too perfect, while two sturdy handles sit high on its shoulders. It has the size to hold its own on the floor; we’d place it near an entry with a loose gathering of branches, as though it had always belonged there.
