THE STORY
A large antique Uraltu vessel with two generous loop handles, a flared mouth, and a full body tapering toward a narrow base. Its deeply weathered surface carries shades of terracotta, earth brown and charcoal, with patches of lighter patina settled into the clay’s rough texture.
We’d place it beside a low wooden console or in an otherwise quiet corner, where its scale and sculptural form can be fully appreciated. Beautiful left empty, or holding a few tall, dried branches.
Anote for the collector: Time and use have worn the base slightly uneven, allowing an ever so slight gentle rock when touched. It stands securely on its own; this slight movement does not compromise its stability.
