This Uraltu vessel is one for the books. Hand-formed in ancient Anatolia, it carries a deep blackened surface with hints of earthen brown coming through the patina; layered and beautifully timeworn.
The age is unmistakable; the base has been worn away entirely from a century of use, so she will need a stand for upright display.
We love it elevated on a console table on a simple stand, where it can be appreciated in its full presence, or laid on its side and paired with other ancient vessels or on a stack of books.
