This large Anatolian storage jar was made to hold the provisions of a household, with a wide mouth and a generous body that narrows to a surprisingly small foot. Its terracotta has faded to a dusty rose across the shoulders, then deepens to a rich brown below and fine lines circle the clay just beneath the widest part. We love it on the floor beside a sofa, with branches spreading out as freely as they like.
