Once made to store olives, this old terracotta jar has had a second life at the hands of an artisan. Its rounded body is now covered in textured brown paint, roughest around the shoulders, where the surface catches the light. The little rolled rim and fine lines circling the clay are still there beneath it all. We love that its smaller size gives you more places to put it: beside a favorite chair with a few unruly branches, or tucked into a corner that’s been waiting for something.
