From Konya in central Anatolia, these little earthenware pitchers once held olive oil at the table, close enough to pass around during a meal. Each has its own shape and timeworn surface, with the small variations that make choosing just one surprisingly difficult. Today we love them with a single stem on a bedside table, or gathered on a kitchen shelf as though they’re waiting for supper.
