A vintage earthenware vessel from Konya, Turkey, with a rounded shoulder, a gently tapered base, and dark glaze gathered around the mouth. A single trail of glaze runs down the front, over warm clay worn and mottled with age.
One of its original handles has broken away, leaving a small remnant at the shoulder; the other remains. We loved it enough to bring it into our Perfectly Imperfect collection, where a missing handle needn’t mean the end of a lovely old pot.
We’d place it on a wooden console beneath a painting, or let it stand alone on a kitchen shelf. Its earthy surface and simple form need very little company.
A note for the collector: This vessel is offered at 30% off our regular pricing due to the missing handle.
Each item is packed professionally and with care from our Buffalo warehouse to ensure this one of a kind piece arrives safely to you. In the rare event your item arrives damaged, your purchase is fully insured. Please see our damage policy for more information.
