Details
We love the simplicity of this 20th-century French stone jardinière.
Carved from a single block of stone, it has a naturally pocked surface that only comes from years outside in the elements. A small drainage hole runs through the base, a reminder of its original purpose: something made for planting, growing, and living with a garden over time. The stone has taken on soft greys and pale lichen tones, with deeper texture in the hollows and edges.
We love this filled loosely with branches, herbs, or simple cut stems, or even left empty or filled with fruit on a kitchen island or table. It also works beautifully outside, tucked into a garden setting or on a stone ledge where it can continue to age naturally.
