We love the scale of this oversized bee basket sourced from southern France.
Traditionally used in rural France for beekeeping, these baskets were handwoven to house and protect hives in orchards and gardens, often sitting through the seasons as part of working rural farm life.
This piece carries all of that history, with a woven body that has softened and darkened beautifully over time. The surface has natural variation in tone from years of exposure, giving it that warm, time-worn character we’re always drawn to.
We love this styled as a standalone piece on the floor, or layered into a corner with other natural materials like wood and stone. Functional still, we love the idea of her housing tall branches or blankets.
Each item is packed professionally and with care from our Buffalo warehouse to ensure this one of a kind piece arrives safely to you. In the rare event your item arrives damaged, your purchase is fully insured. Please see our damage policy for more information.
