Brown Glaze Rice Wine Vessel
Brown Glaze Rice Wine Vessel
Origin: Asia
Age: Vintage, 20th Century
Dimensions: 9” H x 10.25” Diameter
Description:
A beautifully timeworn antique bean pot or traditional rice wine jar featuring a rich deep brown glaze with naturally aged character throughout. One side retains its classic glossy glaze, while the opposite side has developed a soft worn matte texture over time, giving the piece exceptional depth and organic variation.
Its rounded silhouette and dark earthy tones make it an effortless styling piece for wabi-sabi, primitive, rustic, and organic modern interiors. Stunning displayed alone on a shelf, layered into a collection of antique pottery, or styled with branches and seasonal stems.
The surface wear and uneven texture are authentic signs of age and use, adding to the vessel’s one-of-a-kind character and collected appeal.
Condition:
Beautiful vintage condition with age-related wear, surface variation, and natural imperfections consistent with age and use. The contrast between the glossy glazed side and matte worn side gives this vessel especially unique character.
Please note there is a small crack at the base as pictured. The flaw is reflected in the pricing and does not detract from the vessel’s striking decorative presence or stability.
Styling Notes:
Perfect for wabi-sabi, rustic farmhouse, primitive, and organic modern interiors. Beautiful styled on open shelving, consoles, kitchen cabinetry, or layered into antique pottery collections for added warmth and texture.
